Tonight we held our 2nd seminar on the home. We had a very good group of people who attended and enjoyed some good teaching on the subject of marriage from Pastor. This is part of our Faith N' Family Ministry outreach. Pastor and Mrs. Eddy hold these seminars on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in our downstairs fellowship hall. We would love to have you join us next time!

Praise the Lord for another great Sunday! We were blessed to see another 4 first-time visitors this past Sunday, which brings the total in January to 19!!!! We had a very good Sunday School crowd; Mrs. Doster/Mrs. Eddy's class is pictured below.

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in the classroom.

The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy:

Teacher: Tommy do you see the tree out side?

Tommy: Yes.

Teacher: Tommy, do you see the grass out side?

Tommy: Yes.

Teacher: Go out side and look up and see if you can see the sky.

Tommy: OK. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.

Teacher: Did you see God?

Tommy: No.

Teacher: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there.

The little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. Teacher agreed and she asked the boy:

Little Girl: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

Tommy: Yes.

Little girl: Tommy do you see the grass outside?

Tommy: Yessssss (getting tired of the questions by this time)

Little girl: Did you see the sky?

Tommy: Yessssss

Little Girl: Tommy, do you see the teacher?

Tommy: Yes

Little Girl: Do you see her brain?

Tommy: No

Little Girl: Does that mean she doesn't have one?

We had icy roads and pavements, but the Lord gave us a good day and a great week at Victory Baptist Church! We were blessed to have 3 more adult first-timers in the service yesterday and even more blessed that 2 new comers accepted Christ as Saviour this past week! God is good and blessed despite the weather!

We are excited about our new Faith n' Family Ministry which launched on January 1st- and we are pleased to report that there have been 12 visitors in the church services and 2 that have trusted Christ as Saviour! We are continuing to thank the Lord for His blessings and look forward to seeing what He has in store for us!

Today was week #2 of our Faith n' Family Ministry for those 18-35 in Macomb! We had several visitors and also many returning visitors in Sunday School and church today. So far, 11 first timers have visited in the first two weeks and the Sunday School class has grown to 6 families in just two Sundays!

This past Sunday, we had Opening Day for our Faith n' Family Ministry of Macomb and had several folks in our new Bible class!

Then, last night, we kicked off our Home on the Rock marriage seminar with Pastor and Mrs. Eddy and had a good number there as well! We still have several more family Bibles and gift certificates left from last week, so if you are a first time couple and maybe couldn't make it last Sunday, stop by this Sunday and see us and we'll get you a new Bible and a gift certificate to Italian Express of Macomb!

Please keep Donna Thurman (Pastor Eddy's mother) in your prayers as she is in ICU in Peoria. She is improving but has a very long way to go.

Last Sunday, we enjoyed listening to the young people (and us older ones) sing Christmas songs and recite Scripture. We had a very nice crowd- a few pictures are below!
